  53.  DMEXBar is an extention of the explorer toolbar.
  54.  
  55.  DMEX appears in the toolbar area of the windows
  56.  explorer showing some new buttons to extend 
  57.  the explorer by a wide range of new features like:
  58.  
  59.  - Open two explorer windows being aligned side by side.
  60.  
  61.  - Fast copying and moving of files between two aligned
  62.    explorer windows by shortcuts. 
  63.  
  64.  - Tile all open explorer windows on the screen
  65.  
  66.  - Rename, change date or change attributes
  67.    of multiple selected files at once with wildcards.
  68.  
  69.  - Creating ôHot Pathsö, which are like the ôFavouritesö
  70.    in the Internet Explorer, for simple and fast change
  71.    to these directories
  72.  
  73.  - Open DOS shell windows or run any other user-specified programs
  74.    using the current directory or selected files as parameters

  76.  - Create new subdirectories - only one mouseclick away

  123. áNote: You must have administrator privilege on NT/XP
  124.        machines. Trying to install on NT/XP without
  125.        administrator privilige will result in an error
  126.        message and an uncompleted installation.

  128.        By installing DMEXBar you accept the disclamer, below.
  129.  
  130.        To install DMEXBar:
  131.  
  132.  -> 1.)  Run the self extracting archive 'dmexbar.exe'.
  133.          You have to specify a destination directory.
  134.          A new subdirectory named 'dmexbar' will be created
  135.          in the destination directory. The default destination
  136.          directory is your 'Programs' directory. All newly
  137.          created files will be located in the newly created
  138.          subdirectory.
  139.  
  140.          NOTE FOR  U P D A T E R S: 
  141.  
  142.          You have to close all explorer windows otherwise the DLL
  143.          will be in use and the extraction process will fail.
  144.          Point the destination directory for extraction to the same
  145.          you did the first time - not the dmexbar directory!
  146.          Otherwise again a new subdirectory 'dmexbar' will be created.
  147.          
  148.     2.)  After the extraction process has finished the dmexbar
  149.          helpfile will be opened. The installation process can be
  150.          started from within this help file.
  151.  
  152.     3.)  Follow the link to the installation page in the help file.
  153.          And click on the installation link, there.
  154.          You may also use the program 'install.exe' from the
  155.          DMEXBar directory.
  156.  
  157.     4.)  After finishing the installation open an explorer window.
  158.          In case that DMEXBar is not visible by default in the
  159.          explorer toolbar area after installation you have to
  160.          do a right mouse button click in the explorer toolbar
  161.          area or choose 'Toolbar' from the 'View' menu.
  162.          A popup menu is shown with a list of all available toolbars.
  163.          There you should see a new menu item named "Dmex Toolbar".
  164.          Check this entry.
  165.          If DMEXBar is not visible in the list of available toolbars,
  166.          try to reboot windows to update that list.

  168.     5.)  In some cases only the first button of Dmexbar is visible
  169.          at the right border of the explorer toolbar.
  170.          Move Dmexbar leftwards to see all buttons.
  171.          If you have Internet Explorer 6 installed there exists an option
  172.          to fix the Toolbars so they can't be moved and the grip of the
  173.          toolbar is greyed, then. In that case, to move Dmexbar you first
  174.          have to uncheck the option 'Fix Toolbars'.
